You know those people with a smile that lights up a room? Darla is one of those people. We have known each other for years as we both grew up showing cattle and have worked several shows together. She has had to overcome some devastating losses in her life. She lost her mother at an early age and more recently her little brother to a car accident. She is the definition of a strong woman - hard working, convicted, smart and resilient. She posses a huge heart and sharp sense of humor. She is blessed with an amazing family and I am so happy she found Chris. Together with their families, they threw an epic backyard wedding at her parent's house. It was a hot, windy Central Illinois Saturday that ended in an amazing sunset. Darla's dad is a skilled craftsman and made several decor items for the wedding, including the swing and that amazing grain bin bar! Be sure to check out his work at Torch and Hammer Fabrication
Thanks to Jessica Keulper Photography and Design for these stunning photos!
Darla knew from our very first design meeting that she wanted an all calla lily bouquet. These stunning deep plum lilies make quite an impact when grouped en masse.
With a large number in the wedding party, the couple want to keep their flowers simple and clean. Single stem, picasso calla lilies were accented with mixed foliage and textural elements. Check out those purple shot gun shells they special ordered for the boutonnieres.
Congratulations again Darla and Chris! Thank you for choosing J.Blu Design to be a part of your beautiful wedding. Here's to many years of dancing in the sunset.
